About
PRIMA-VA/RC is a compact voice alarm system featuring six loudspeaker outputs.
Six highly efficient Class D amplifiers and one battery charger are integrated into the unit, providing a loudspeaker output power of up to 80 watts per zone. One amplifier can also be used as a backup amplifier.
PRIMA-VA/RC is based on matrix control functions and digital message players, with front-panel access for full monitoring of the fireman?s microphone and the emergency message trigger button. The controller incorporates our latest “Flexcontrol” technology, offering extensive system configuration options. Various settings can be freely assigned to the six potentiometers.
The controller features eight monitored logic control inputs, eight relay outputs, two interfaces for paging consoles such as the PSS-G2 and PSM8WJB, two balanced audio inputs for connecting sources such as music players and wireless microphones, one audio output for control by external devices, one Ethernet port, and six independent amplifier outputs. A 5-pin XLR connector for the optional monitored PRIMA-VA/FM fireman?s microphone is located on the front panel.
Thanks to its IP connectivity, the PRIMA-VA/RC offers maximum flexibility. The system is SIP-compatible and can communicate with the complete range of ATEÏS Vox@ Audio-over-IP products as well as the Vox@net g2 Audio-over-IP software. This also enables networking with additional sources and devices.
Up to 256 PRIMA-VA/RC systems can be interconnected. From a standalone solution to an IP-networked application, the PRIMA-VA/RC system can be easily adapted to a wide range of applications.
Thanks to its web browser interface, the PRIMA-VA/RC can be configured for both basic and advanced applications. Numerous parameters, including volume control, priorities, source selection, and others, can be configured via the web browser.
The PRIMA-VA/RC voice alarm system is certified in accordance with EN 54-16. All components and peripheral devices are continuously monitored, and all events, including faults and alarms, are recorded in a history log that can be accessed via a web browser.

Safety Notes and Warning Messages
The unit uses dangerous mains voltage. Leave servicing to skilled personnel only and do not insert anything into the air vents. Inexpert handling may result in electric shock.
During operation, there may be a hazard of contact with a dangerous voltage of up to 100 V at the speaker terminals. Always switch off the amplifier before making or changing any connections.
Do not operate the unit and disconnect the mains plug from the socket immediately if the unit or the mains cable is visibly damaged; if a defect might have occurred after the unit was dropped or suffered a similar accident, if malfunctions occur. In any case, the unit must be repaired by skilled personnel.
The unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it against dripping water and splash water, high air humidity and heat (admissible ambient temperature range: 0 - 40 °C).
Never pull the mains cable to disconnect the mains plug from the socket, always seize the plug.
The heat generated inside the unit must be dissipated by air circulation; never cover the air vents of the housing.
If the unit is to be put out of operation permanently, take it to a local recycling plant for a disposal which is not harmful to the environment.
